Paris La Défense is a French public institution responsible for managing and developing the business district of La Défense.
A revitalizing exercise to reflect growth
États généraux de le transformation des tours is a series of 3 events organized and hosted by Paris La Défense.
The primary challenge for this project was the tight deadline: everything needed to be completed within a month, from web design to development in Webflow, which would leave enough time for PLD to work on the promotion.
While the branding had been developed by another agency, I was tasked with adapting it for the web and creating new UI elements from scratch.
Additionally, I needed to integrate an analytics tracker (Matomo) and an automatic translator (Weglot) to accommodate a global audience.
Balancing a corporate identity with creative design
Building on the existing branding, I designed new UI elements to bring the website to life while maintaining a professional and corporate feel. I added subtle touches of color and texture to enhance its vibrancy without straying from the brand’s identity.
The design features a soothing light cream background with hints of green and blue, reflecting PLD’s branding. The rounded card elements used throughout the site also align with the brand’s visual style.
To ensure fast loading times and data consumption, I minimized animations and focused on micro-interactions for a dynamic user experience.
The impact
Thanks to my swift execution, Paris La Défense successfully launched their website on time to promote the event series.
Despite the tight deadline, quality was never compromised at any stage of design or development.
The website played a key role in helping PLD smoothly organize all three events and attract new speakers for each one.
