A joyful brand identity and website for a micro daycare center
L'arbre ô Petit is a micro daycare center in the north of France, welcoming babies, toddlers and preschoolers in very small groups.
I met Ludivine, the founder of L'arbre ô Petits, at the very start of her journey, when her project was still just an idea and her vision outlined in a business plan. Today, she runs two micro daycare centers in Tours, in the north of France, with a third one in the works.
She entrusted me with the task of bringing her vision to life, which included creating a logo, developing a cohesive brand identity, and designing a fully functional website where parents could easily express interest in enrolling their children.
From the typography and color palette to the custom illustrations and icons, every design choice was made to craft a fun, playful, and vibrant world with strong references to nature, just as Ludivine envisioned.
Crafting a playful and nurturing brand identity
The logo mark features a house nestled between two trees, symbolizing care and protection. The logotype is set in a script font with varying stroke widths, evoking the handwriting style of schoolchildren. "L'arbre ô petits" translates to "The tree for little ones" in English.
For all headings and body text, I selected the Baloo 2 font—a round, playful, and approachable typeface with a kid-friendly charm. The color palette combines soft, natural tones like teal, forest green, and brown with brighter accents of pink, yellow, and blue to add energy and vibrancy.
To further bring the website to life, I crafted a set of icons using a brushstroke style that evokes a handmade, childlike feel. In the same spirit, I created colorful flat illustrations featuring plants and flowers to highlight the connection to nature.
Bringing the brand to life: a functional website for parents
Building on the branding, I developed a fully functional website that allows parents to express their interest in enrolling their children at L'arbre ô Petits.
The website not only facilitates registration but also invites visitors to explore the enchanting universe of L'arbre ô Petits, showcasing its unique offerings and nurturing environment.
Through playful design elements and vibrant visuals, the site reflects the essence of the brand, ensuring that parents feel connected to the warmth and care that define this micro daycare center.
This branding and website project played a crucial role in helping Ludivine launch L'arbre ô Petits, providing her with a distinct identity and a strong online presence.

Thanks to the momentum gained from this project, she has recently opened a second location and is on track to launch a third one soon.
